This 6-week course will be taught in a Yin/Yang style practice (Vinyasa Flow & Yin Yoga), and is designed for those wishing to explore their ability to be flexible; both physically and mentally.

Yoga offers a wonderful collection of postures and movements to explore, which - over time and with careful practice - will naturally enhance the flexibility of our muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints. When we pair our breath with intelligent movement practices and knowledge of our own individual and unique anatomy we have the opportunity to deepen our experience and, in turn, give us more freedom to move and go about our daily tasks (like doing up our shoes or getting up off the floor) with more ease.

We will also explore how through finding ease in our physical bodies we can be open to the possibility of being more flexible in our emotional and mental states too.

WEEK ONE: An Introduction
A mindful full-body flow that is designed for you to tune in and learn where you feel the most restricted, tight and in need of some space and freedom. From this we will understand our own personal anatomy better and how we can individually progress throughout the rest of the course.

WEEK TWO: Legs & Feet
The legs hold us and support us through so much and we rarely ever give them any thanks or love! This class is all about that, loving our legs and feet and learning how profoundly they support us. The Chinese say “all health starts in the feet” and truly there is nothing I agree with more. We will learn to stand in a way that truly supports our posture as well as finding flexibility and strength in the hamstrings, quads and knees.

WEEK THREE: Hips & Pelvic Floor
Having healthy, flexible hips really is so important to our day-to-day lives. The hips aid us in so many of our important movements, walking, sitting, standing whilst also providing stability for our lower back and supporting function of the knees. Arguably one of the most important areas in the body and also always one of tightest. We will explore a happy hip-opening class leaving us feeling lighter and more at ease.

WEEK FOUR: Back & Side Body
Experiencing and finding a full range of movement and flexibility through our back muscles, tissues and spine will enhance many of our day to day movements. A wonderful antidote to sitting at a desk or to standing for long hours. We will explore backbends, side bends and twists.

WEEK FIVE: Upper Body
We will explore our capacity for movement through our upper body, including head, neck, shoulders and heart. We tend to hold a lot of tension in our upper region without being aware which over time causes a great deal of muscle contraction and tightness, including tension headaches and jaw pain.

WEEK SIX: Bringing It Together
A full body practice that allows us to move more deeply into some of the practices we have explored throughout the course and an opportunity for you to notice the difference from week one.

These sessions are each 90mins in length and the course is priced at £100 for 6 weeks.

Please bring your own mat if you have one.
