Inversions and arm balances are sometimes considered by students to be intimidating and out of reach. But getting upside down does have health benefits: strengthening and stretching the upper body, promoting blood flow and helping to calm the nervous system.

In this workshop, you will learn to face your fears, trust in your body, and laugh at yourself when you fall over… safely onto bolsters and blankets of course!

Beginning with a carefully structured vinyasa sequence to strengthen and prepare your body, you will then move on to workshop inversions using your head (headstand and tripod), hands (crow and side crow) and forearms (pincha mayurasana).

Expect to break down the alignment, proper foundation and practice some basic drills to help develop a safe and confident inversions practice. You will be taught how to use props and work together to find balance and gain confidence.

Banish those face-planting fears and learn how to access these empowering poses so that you can incorporate them into your practice with ease.
